The city call me back instantly asking if I had dialed the emergency number. I explained what happened but they sent a police car out anyway just to make sure all was okay here. I had no idea AT&T phones automatically call the emergency number if you hit a 9 first. This crazy phone is so fast and sensitive you must have perfect fingers to touch the dial.
